How to fly to a coordinate: farm, private strip or agreed point
Need to fly to a place that does not appear on the map, such as a farm, a private strip or a point agreed with your instructor? In Alfaero the coordinate is enough: the app recognizes it instantly and the point goes into the route.
Step by step
- In the search bar, type the coordinate or paste one you copied from somewhere else.
- Use the compact format: degrees and minutes together, latitude with two degree digits and longitude with three, with no space, no slash and no degree symbol. In the video, 23 degrees 27 minutes south, 046 degrees 45 minutes west.
- The app shows the coordinate as a result. Tap Add and the point goes in between the departure and the destination.
- On the map, the point sits where you set it, with the distance, heading and time of each leg.
- It also works in a pasted route: write the coordinate between the points, as in item 15 of the flight plan.
